Last Semester Break 2013

Shortest semester break ever.

It is because I am going to start internship tomorrow! After the finished my last final exam in my year 2, I had a 2 weeks rest. In this two weeks, there were many activities with friends.

For the first week, I had a futsal and badminton session with Uni friends, and played computer games (after so many months!) with friends. For the second weeks, I had some fun with high school friends.

My secondary school friends, Wei Shen, Yen Seng and Amelie, went out for a super duper and epic failed birthday celebration. We gathered at Rex Box, Sunway Pyramid for the first activity of the day. Before Yen Seng and his friends arrived, three of us have planned for the ‘surprised’ birthday celebration, which was me and Wei Shen bought cake for him during the karaoke session. Yen Seng, however, guessed our plan correctly and scold us for not being professional in organizing this kind of celebration. Okay.

We had some fun in the pool and snooker room, which located in the Sunway Megaline, for two hours after the karaoke session ended. Amelie finally knew how to play pool after the tutorial session from me and Alex (Yen Seng’s bestie). Wei Shen should be the most unlucky person among us because he hit both of the black balls and white balls into hole for TWO TIMES when he versus me. It was TWO TIMES! Unlucky. Of course, I won the match with a score of 2-1.

We went to have our dinner in Sakae sushi and chit chats at outside of Starbuck before we left Sunway. It was a good day to remember because all of us gather together again since last Chinese New Year! 8 years of friend relationship, and it is still counting. I hope it will last long and we will meet again soon!

24^th December 2013

I went out to watch a movie with friends, unexpectedly, because she indirectly forced me to watch it. She is one of my besties and it is my honor to spent my Christmas eve with her because she rejected three invitations from her ‘chaser’ before she texted me for movie. What a good friend. It was quite interesting because she refused to take any photo in this special day. The reason was her shirt did not match with the ‘background’. Okay :( .

25^th December 2013

This is absolutely one of the best Christmas ‘celebrations’ in my life. I went out with three of ex-librarian, we know each other for at least seven years, and it is still counting too. We studied in the same high school, joined the same club, three of us stayed at high school’s hostel for six years, and we are still ‘connecting’ with each other after graduated, of course, from the same high school.

We met at Brew and Bread, which located at Kota Kemuning, at twelve o’clock noon. We assigned a code for this gathering, ‘Coffee 1.0’. I ordered a spaghetti and Caramel Latte, which was my first ever latte in my life, for my lunch. The atmosphere was just nice for friend’s gathering and chit chat, and the taste of coffees were brilliant! At least I enjoy the decoration on my latte and also the taste of it! I would definitely come back for the second time with friends.

‘Coffee 2.0’ immediately started at Dot Coffee Shop after we finished our lunch. I ordered Caffe Mocha for this round. It was a Totoro on my mocha. Uncommonly, I took photo with this cute decoration before I ‘destroyed’ it and let it lie in my memory forever. Although it was a ‘small’ shop, the atmosphere was good enough to let people chilling and rest.

5 o’clock, 5 hours, memorable Christmas. We did not spend much other than food and beverages, and we did not exchange or even prepare present for each other because we believe the present of four of us is the best Christmas present.

Actually I only had little hope on it when I commented and wished her a Happy Merry Christmas because popular star don’t normally replied message from fans. Although it was only just a replied from her, and she don’t even know who I am, I still felt so blessed right now! Denise, thank you for the replied and wish! I hope you will eventually read this and felt my happiness! Thank you again!

Review Year 2 Semester 2 Life

I chose the harder road. I took five subjects in this semester, so I will able to finish all 3 years subjects within the stated period. Company Law, Research Method, Human Resource Management, Operational Management and the additional subject, Managerial Economics. It was pretty challenging because I was not good in time management.

Nevertheless, I manage to finish all these subjects with a predictably best result in my university life. Too confident? The result will be revealed soon on 17 January 2014. It believe that it will be my happiest ‘result-reveal’ day. Inter alia (means ‘other than that'), I enjoyed my incredible timetable for this semester. At the end of semester, it proved that my decision was correct. Thanks for the help from lecturer.

I learned a lot when I was finishing all the assignments. The weight of assignment on the shoulder was getting heavier and some of the results did not equal to our hard work. We accepted the results because as long as we tried our best, results were just something that showing whether we reached the expectation of lecturer. Indeed, we felt our improvement in term of personality, attitude and maturity. That is the more important thing than result.

Other than academy side, I am happy with my progress in Toastmaster. I’ve already done six speeches and it is four more left to claim the award of ‘Competent Comminicator’ (a.k.a. CC, the first award after clear the first 10 speeches). In addition, I am walking out of my comfort zone as I keep challenging myself in the leadership. For example, I had held the position of Toastmaster of the Evening, Table Topic master, Table Topic Evaluator and Speech Evaluator. I still not dare to become a grammarian because the poorness of my English is simply not reaching the standard yet. I knew that I should do it to get more experience but I want to do it well for the first time, as people and I have a certain level of expectation to my performance. I will try more table topic at next year because it is a good platform to improve the speed of thinking and speaking spontaneously.

I was the president of Sunway CIS-ECA Scholarship Group, however, the group did not exist anymore. It is because of numerous reasons and I am not going to reveal it. There were many good memories among us, and we have organized successful event such as Reading Bus event, cycling event, appreciation dinner. The mixed feeling after every event was hard to describe in words because it was the combination of happy and sad. We felt sad when we were going to separate and leaving each other. Frankly, I was disappointing to myself. I knew this is a stage of learning but I simply can’t accept that I was that weak in leading a club and organizing event. Yes, everyone is saying that I have the quality to be a good leader, but I hope there is someone to guide or lead me to improve myself more because sometimes I really felt helpless. I need someone to push me. I need some new motivators to gain the confidence of a leader. I will find a way of it. I will.

There were some events with friends at this year. We went for the Scary Night at Sunway Lagoon on Halloween, ‘killing zombie’, birthday celebration of Khye Yang in Vivatel, surprised and unexpected birthday celebration with Ben, and no other than the MOST EXPENSIVE & ENJOYABLE SUBS GRANDBALL. There were still a lot of memories that I could not write in words because there was a lot of event! I am glad to have you guys be my friend. Really appreciate it. My university life will not be this colorful without you all.

‘Hey, Jude’ and Gathering with Primary School’s friend

It was definitely one of the best performances that I’ve seen in singing competition.

Simon was opponent of Bi Xia at the battle round of ‘The Voice of China’. Simon (come from HK, 65 years old) has been involving in making ‘ROCK’ music until now. Bi Xia was struggling in singing the song well in practice session; hence he taught his opponent instead of keep all the skills to himself when they were preparing for the song, ‘Hey, Jude’.  

For me, it was not a competition but more like a concert when I was watching their performances. You can feel the excitement and happiness of all the people inside the hall. There’s always people to leave in a competition since there will only have one winner. As what I expected, Simon won’t go through to next round because the show needs younger talents to help them for gaining money in the future. However, the spirit of Simon in loving music and keep his persistency in making more music are the role model for us! For me, it is not just a competition, but also a platform to show the proper attitude in treating our life. Persistency in doing good thing is much more appreciated in this world.

Bi Xia won the battle, Simon won our heart, and their performance won my tears and respect. I wish their show is never end, like what the host said. Thanks for the good performance and bring us a good memory. Thank you.

With Fuying.

I was using Waze as guidance for me to drive to my friend’s house for our primary school gathering. Expectedly, the GPS only worked for my Galaxy ACE after half an hour. I was nearly lost but luckily I found the correct address after struggling in the wrong house area. Thanks to Vivian for gave me a chicken wing when I just stepped into the house. There were a lot of sausages and salty chicken wings. Hong Mun (the organizer), Vivian, Eu Mun, Su Mei, Hong Lu, Bieber and I were the only seven fellows from our 6M to attend this gathering. As usual.We had some good conversation and made some jokes during the BBQ event. Fuying, one of the singers of Fuying and Sam, was attending this BBQ too. He was one of my friend's friend, that's why he came to here after his performance at Summit USJ.

Overall, this was a good gathering because everyone was happy for the food and conversation. I don't really feel the gap between us in our conversation although we did not meet each other for long time.

New Opportunity for Business Man in Malaysia!

Unfortunately, I read the news which there two were two shot dead cases in Malaysia again. Penang, one of the lowest crime rates cities in Malaysia, cannot escape this hilarious trend. It is continuing. Our prime minister said that we are live in a safe country. I hope this statement will be truth soon because all the people who are currently live in Malaysia is unsafe now!

As a business student, I was told to learn to find the chance or opportunity in doing business. In order to survive, I must think out of the box or do something that is most suits the current environment of social. I am sure that the current disaster in our country is not going to end soon although I hope it is not a truth. Other than selling vests to people and protecting yourself from shot, I think the indoor protection is necessary too. Now they shoot people at outside of the country, but who can guarantee them won’t hold gun into people house and commit crime. I’m afraid the answer is NO ONE.

I was in a gathering at my friend’s house. Based on the current situation in Malaysia, her family did a very good job in protecting themselves to avoid thief or other badass enter their house. They set CCTV and alarm everywhere, even the ceiling, windows and railing. The alarm will ring and the master of house will get notice at the same time. It might not that useful if badass passed this and get into the house but I’m sure that their neighbor will get notice and they will help them to overcome the problem. This is one of the best defenses for house in terrace. Employers or workers who are currently doing this kind of businesses must get a lot of profit when the demands for these protectors are rapidly increase. This is the main point that I want to tell you guys, always think of the opportunity in business even the environment is not safe. Business never died.

I am planning to change my phone but dilemma loves me as usual when I need to make decisions. This picture appeared on my walls and it certainly makes me more dilemmas in making decisions. People said that it was not a fair comparison when android is multiple manufacturers and iOS is one producing iOS devices. I think most of the people are in frustrating in higher market share does not equal profitable. It is easy to explain after learning some financial knowledge from financial subject. It is because the goal of company should be maximized the profit of shareholder wealth but not market share. As a result, this picture proves the truth of this statement. Well, back to the point, iOS or Android for me?

I felt very proud because my school name is shown in this Boucher too! It means my high school will feel proud when they have three alumni appear in the scholarship Boucher! Specially apologized to Tze Jin at here because her surname was showing wrongly on the Bouchers due to my small mistake! I still felt very guilty even she forgive and comfort me for this mistake. However, I love one of her quotes and this will be my enclosed for today blog.

I was so surprised and disappointed for our country. There are many cases of people dead because of shoot by others. The most famous case was the creator of Arab Malaysian Banking Group, Hussain Ahmad Najadi, dead and his wife was hurt in one of the shooting cases. Ridiculously, some people chose to shoot people for getting meats, such as chicken and pork!

It is happening in Malaysia. No one is absolutely safe.

I used to think that our country is safe when I was young, but my though is keep changing when I am growing up. I thought it was already worst when there were cases of robbed, raped and disappearance happened all the times. Now, it is already over my imagination because there is shot dead in this country! Should people live in this country buy vests? When there is a necessary for people to do this kind of protection when they are going out, you could imagine how worst the country is. This is absolutely crazy! For those who always believe in our country is safe, like me, please wake up and beware for your safety!

I seriously hope that our government takes these cases seriously and lower the chance of people involve in crime! #PrayForMalaysia. Malaysian will know why I typed PRAY. Typical  Malaysian.

These three days, I went to gather with my friends. For the first day, it was recorded in my previous post. At the second day, we were blocked when we were trying to pass by the Smart Tag because the Tol was not functioned for my Smart Tag. I always blame the driver who is in this situation because it is wasting other people time! At this time, I finally have been in this kind of situation. For the first time, I used the TouchN’Go after the smart tag failed to function well but the scanner still failed to identify my card. After pushing the ‘help’ button, the railing was letting me to pass by it with alarm rang. I straight drove away without stopping my car because there were cars behind me. I went to the TouchN’Go office after this incident and I got served by the workers in very good manner. It has been a long time for me to meet other workers with good manner and smiling face in the government office. I don’t know your name but I will remember the attitude.

At the third day, Benjemin, Benjamin, Jasmine, Musthaq, Weijinn and me went to watch The Conjuring. You will shout and laugh when watching this movie. Overall, I would use one word to describe this movie, epic. Surprisingly, the director of this movie is a Malaysian, James Wen, who also director of The Saw and Fast & Furious 7. He definitely is one of the proud of Malaysia because I don’t think there are many people especially Asian can do well, or even survive in Hollywood. Personally, he might not come back to make his own film for many times in the future due to the lack of sponsorship here but he could share his experiences to movie maker in Malaysia in order to improve the quality of Malaysia’s movie. After the movie session, I went to meet play games at Musthaq house again and meet some new friends. We went Asia Café for dinner and Snowflake for supper after them buka puasa. Release. After this suffers but meaningful month, I wish everyone a Happy Hari Raya! Enjoy meals and appreciate what we have now. 

与宿舍朋友的聚会

第一日

在凯明家

“你们明天几点回去？”“huh?那么快啊？留多一天，到星期一啦。”

这就是我们，没有什么固定的计划。聚在一起后，想走就走，想去哪里就去哪里。

两个小时的车程到大港(Sungai Besar)，说不上累，因为我不是司机。辛苦爸爸了。沿途上，凯铭——这次活动的主办人，也和我们有说有笑的。两个小时，不长。原本预定的两天一夜，就因为一句话而增加了一晚。幸亏我有带多一些衣物来，这突然丢出的意见也就不是问题了。

一大伙在“三国杀”中

电单车，这让我很好奇的交通工具。我在大城市都没能骑，所以难得在油烟稀少、束缚较城市少的乡村里，就第一次与它杠上了。第一次骑上这电单车，感觉是不错的。冲力快，但我不太能控制那个油门和煞车，所以整个人就撞到板而跌倒了。左脚小腿被机身压着，本身也没力把自行车抬起来，还好有豪哥在身旁，不然我的小腿可能会受更大的伤害啊。这么一跌，也把在自行车右旁的镜子掉出来了，需要修一修。对不住凯铭了。总的来说，这是一次很好的经验，我终于体验到骑电单车的感觉了！

其实我们在这边也没干什么事。凯铭家没有wifi，就只有一个broadband，一伙人就基本上过着没电脑用的生活。除了有3G的电话，其余的人就只是闲着了。我们就像度假，睡饱吃，吃了再吃，然后再睡。空气清新，没有压力，很放松。虽然没有去大海，但是在家里闲着，其实也是另外一种不同的体会。与其说堕落，我更倾向于说这是休闲。第一天的茶点，是lala煎、ABC冰和laksa，这些食物的味道都不错。醉翁之意，大伙还是先聊了一些最近的生活和在大学的际遇。这么聊了聊，才发现原来大家都对这件事情抱有相同的态度——讨厌别人爽约！

接着就是待在家里知道晚餐了。这顿晚餐的菜单在午餐时间就已经拿到了，因为咱们家的昌顺哥请吃！‘你们只要来Sekinchan找我，我就请你们吃！’就是当初的一句话，我们才有这免费的晚餐吃。从大港到那，半小时车程。两辆车，diao禽这位带路的驾驶员，闯了三次红灯。没关系，我还能做在这打字，没事。店名和照片，我们一大伙都把这些都忘记了，就唯独记得吃。这儿的炸苏东，真的一流啊！这顿晚餐，就一起坐着吃能大概喂饱我们肚子的食物，和拼了命地吸一种海鲜。手指头大小，螺旋状的海鲜，很难吸啊！这次我也是头一回吃到有壳的虾膏，因为平时都是吃惯了被剥壳的虾膏。不错，倘若我再来这边吃晚餐，这是必来的地方啊！谢过昌顺了！

原本打算要吃必须预订才会有机会买到的夜宵（我真的忘了名字，不好意思！），但是因为开斋的关系，老板不做工。那我们就回到家玩三国杀。这凯铭啊，还真是厉害，连赢了三局。我们大伙也难得再聚在一起玩这游戏，两年了啊。现在还有缘分坐在一起玩，除了感恩，我也不知道能说什么了。

三局后，我们上车出发到Summer Café里吃顿夜宵。差不多一点，我们就回家休息了。这么一天下来，驾车来到的朋友也累，我们走走吃吃也累了，就睡觉好了。

第二天

没有闹钟，没有压力，独眼龙都知道我们睡醒的时间想必是在接近中午时刻。这一睡醒，我们就去尝尝主人家极力推荐的炸面包。在那里除了点这道不能算是午餐的糕点，我们基本上都点了饭作为午餐。这些食物都很好吃，但是让我心里稍有不满的是价钱。我的饭配上一块鸡腿和咸蛋，辉宏的二肉一菜，而且分量也不小，价钱也是五块。这…好吧，下次来这边吃面包就好了，因为最值得和美味的就是这糕点。我们坐在这差不多一个小时，与我同座的是豪哥和辉宏。我们聊的都是学业和生活的。聊了之后才发现，我们的课程其实都不简单，大家都在为学业而烦恼着。虽然我们都在聚会显得自己很轻松，没在为什么东西烦恼着，实则大家都不说出来，暂时避过那个担心受怕的日子。这可能就是大家都喜欢在繁忙后就出去旅行的原因吧。

吃了这顿午餐与差点，就回家闲着。我都花了差不多两个小时在玩Sudoku，再睡了一觉，时间也才五点。晚餐可是在七点啊，我们整班人都闷发慌了。想打羽球，有场有球有拍但没网；想打篮球，有人有场没篮球。不知是对羽球的热爱，还是实在没事做，辉宏和宏顺还有国源就在凯铭家门前以栏杆为中线，门口为界限地打起羽球来了。大伙们聊了聊天，用了用电脑，就出发去吃晚餐了。这顿晚餐可就比较丰富，有蛋、青菜、鱼、螃蟹、苏东和咕噜肉。AA制的美好就在这，我们可以随意叫自己想吃的饭菜，只要大家不反对，那也不用怎么不好意思。吃了晚餐，就饱着回去阵营里闲着直到晚上的夜宵时间。这两天，我们都没能钓鱼因为船只没往外开，所以就真的只能待在家。

由于豪哥隔天还有上课，于是我们就赶紧拍了张大合照。豪哥临走前抛下一句话——“壮士一去不复返”，就载着昌顺走了。朋友们，下次再见吧。

这夜宵，我们忘了在吃之前就拍照。哈哈～

到了约十一点，我们就去了两轮的夜宵。第一轮我们就只水，因为凯铭过后告诉我们说这mamak对面的潮州粥有开，而且不错吃。我们听了，就停下要叫食物的冲动，喝完饮料就走去对面的店铺了。这间店的潮州粥啊，可真不错。配料是咸鱼、猪耳、鸭肉、咸菜。我可是都停口地狂吃，因为真的是很好吃！尤其是那个咸鱼和猪耳！这也是下次来这里吃玩的必到地方之一。在这次的聊天才发现，台湾和马来西亚的文化的差别，其实真的还会让某些朋友吃不消。比起马来西亚，在台湾的人应该都相对起来比较“温柔”。无意得罪任何一方，就是比较我们在语言和反映态度的区别时，就会很明显了。话虽如此，我还真的希望能去台湾游玩啊，就趁着朋友们都还在台湾念书的时候。与第一天比起，我们回到家就轮流冲凉，然后就倒下去呼呼大睡了。

哦不！在大睡前，我们还是从朋友的口中探出一些尘年往事和不能让人知道的秘密。这位仁兄，可真让我们其他男生佩服啊！有经验，就是不一样。

这一天，我们一样是睡到大约十二点才起床，然后就享用凯铭妈妈的“十全大火锅”。这也是我们离别前的最后一餐，吃了这一餐，我们就真的各奔东西了。行李收拾了，三点，我们就去打包远近驰名的“安顺猪肠粉”，然后就回家。谢谢凯铭这三天的款待、辉宏、豪哥、diao kim和国源的汽车了。没了这些，我们也就没趣了。

大伙们，下次再见吧。希望这个下次，会更人齐，而且也不用等太久。
